The DPA 4055 Kick Drum Microphone is designed to kick the bass to a higher level. The promising DPA sound, clarity, and linear frequency response delivered by the 4055 (both on and off-axis) are what make this microphone so distinctive. Thanks to its low-frequency response and dynamics, it produces a tight, natural, and well-defined sound. Since the DPA 4055 Kick Drum Microphone is not pre-sonically tuned to a traditional sound within a specific genre, this allows a sound designer to precisely create the sound being listened to, regardless of the music genre.
The 4055 features a large, sturdy housing with wind-damping foam right in front of the capsule, behind the grille. Additionally, the specially designed shock mount prevents stage vibrations from affecting the quality. All of this ensures that the 4055 captures only the respective source.
